Not bad, not great
Have just been using this for a couple of weeks away. It arrived just before I was due to leave, and had there been more time, I might well have returned it and found something else.

First reaction was simply at its shortness. At 5' 11" I don't consider myself particularly tall, but this jacket is a good couple of inches shorter than I would have expected, added to which the zip closure down the front stops an couple of inches short of the hem. The cut dips down at the back to provide a bit more cover to your backside, but still leaves the jacket feeling short overall.

Second reaction, it's light, and very well cut for arms and upper body movement. The fit is close without being tight. I don't think I've owned an outer jacket which gave such freedom and comfort of movement.

A minor point, which other jackets suffer from, is that it can be a fiddle when putting it on as the front closure - the flap that covers the zip - uses spaced velcro tabs, and...

Mixed feelings good and bad
The good - Well made, good materials, excellent fit. I really love how they managed a snug fit while still being loose enough to be able to move without restrictions. It's light and easy to compress to a small size for the backpack. Excellent wind resistance - no shilling effect what so ever even in high wind-force. Good water resistance - kept me dry when sailing in poring rain for three hours. It was soaked and I dont know if it would keep me warm much longer but still three hours is pretty good considering the rain and wind. Perfect shelter from the elements when standing or sitting still!

The bad - What makes it so good is also what makes it bad. If you are walking and get your heartbeat up you will get wet by perspiration. Even with the air-vents open at full blast you feel like wearing a plastic bag. I am really sorry to say.
