waterproof and breathable
Surprisingly waterproof for how lightweight it is, but then Montane are a good quality and reliable brand. I cycled for one-and-a-half hours through very heavy rain this summer and it kept me bone-dry inside. (It's very breathable too.) I haven't tested it for any longer than this but, given the super-light nature of it, I wouldn't expect it to be as waterproof as a heavier garment, eg a Goretex one.

Daft Sizing
Had to return the item. Sizing is nothing like you might expect. Bought the XXL (much bigger than would normally buy) and still too small. OK for stick insects perhaps!Suggest you buy at least two sizes bigger than your normal size with this item.
