Great jacket
I am delighted that I bought this jacket. Sometimes buying online is a bit of a minefield and I like to try before I buy. I looked around the high street to see if I could see this jacket in any of the stores but couldn't but decided to purchase anyway as it was at a sale price. I have already bought about five North Face jackets in the past 10 years or so, including two Goretex ones, but wasn't overly impressed with the last Hy-Vent one I bought as the material started to flake on the inside after about 18 months. It looks as if Hy-Vent has now been improved since then as this jacket feels much better and of course keeps the weather out. Also has a detachable hood that I like and the inner jacket although quite thin feeling is reasonably warm and a lot lighter than the normal fleece inners.All in I think it's a good buy, hopefully the Hy-Vent won't flake now like the last one.
